Mini Soccer at Uppingham has been running at Uppingham Community College since 2007.
The OLDEST 11am group is for players aged 10 to 12 years old and whilst mixed ability covers more advanced aspects of the game including larger match play, possession, and interchange of positions.
Our football programme for girls and boys is suitable for the first experiences of the game as well as youngsters wishing to advance their skills. This is a real opportunity for youngsters to get involved in sport and to make new friends too. The sessions are coordinated by John Mulholland, a fully qualified UEFA B coach and fully DBS checked, along with a team of great supporting coaches.
The programme is based on fun and enjoyment. Mini Soccer teaches the basic techniques of the game through fun games in a friendly and safe environment. The mini soccer course lasts for ten 1 hour sessions and costs 50 pounds. The sessions are on Saturdays at The Uppingham Community College newly relayed 3G AstroTurf.
We are running COVID safe sessions OUTDOORS but have use of the sports hall in exceptionally cold or wet weather. Toilets are available using the maths block toilets on site.
Requirements:
KIT NEEDED
Our sessions take place outdoors on 3G AstroTurf. We are not using the indoor hall while COVID safe regulations are in place.
Players need the following Rain jacket, shin pads, dimpled Astro trainers or moulded studs, not blades or screw in studs.
Re-fillable water bottle, warm clothing, shorts, tracksuit bottoms, hat, gloves, jumper in winter.
